            In April 1, 2017, the 2017 edition OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification standard issued by the International Eco Textile Association came into effect. Oeko-Tex Standard 100 is currently the most authoritative and most widely used textile eco label in the world. It is established in 1992 by the international environmental Textile Association (Oeko-Tex Association). It is strictly stipulated in the limits of yarn, fiber and various kinds of textiles. It is the direction for leading the production and consumption of the textile industry. It is also one of the standard requirements to be observed by the export enterprises. For the end users who intend to buy Textiles, the Oeko-Tex labels on textiles represent a harmless test of the product and become an important basis for users to make a decision on the purchase of textiles.

            primary coverage

            The updated version of the 2017 edition of OEKO-TEX Standard 100 is mainly:

            (1) in the project of perfluoro - and poly - fluorine compounds, more substances are added under the product grade I (3 years old and below), and the limit control is more strict and close to prohibition.

            (2) The number of phthalate esters increased from 15 items to 21 items, and the total limit value (1000 mg/kg) should remain unchanged.

            (3) for all grades of products, three new organotin compounds are added, and the requirements for limit values are specified.

            (4) limit the UV stability limit (1000 mg/kg) for product class I, II and III;

            (5) the natural leather certification is independent from the original certification, the OEKO-TEX Association specially formulated the leather standard, and made different regulations on natural leather materials and natural leather products.

            (6) in the "extractable heavy metals" test items, the explanatory notes for increasing the amount of copper are added.

            (7) disable blue dye "Navy Blue";

            (8) simplify the application process of certification.

            As the leading standard of the textile industry, OEKO-TEX Standard 100 will be revised every year on the basis of relevant international regulations, instructions (especially EU directive requirements) and industry development, and the revised content is more complex. At present, the OEKO-TEX certification cost of our enterprises is about 30 thousand to 70 thousand yuan. The release of the new version, the increase of testing material and the extension of the detection cycle will increase the OEKO-TEX certification cost of the export enterprises. As a result, the producers, operators and researchers of the industry should know, grasp the standard requirements and relevant regulations in time, and carry out green R & D, production and manufacture through relevant technology and management measures so as not to cause unnecessary trade losses.
